Matching Fund Opportunities
Corporate sponsors and charitable foundations have the ability to dramatically change the lives within the Village of Kersa Illala. When you become one of our corporate sponsors Village of Hope will work with your organization to help create a sense of community spirit within your work place and see that your charitable efforts are widely recognized. This benefit to your organization will be only a small part of the satisfaction you will experience as you see dramatic changes in the lives of those in the village. Here are some of the corporate sponsorship opportunities we currently have available.
High Risk Children's Center
With recent donations allowing us to build additional housing for the High Risk Children's Center (HRCC), we now have the capacity to accept additional children into the program. Over the next year, our housing capacity will be increase from 24 to 120 children. Our ability to accept more children is now limited by the number of donors. Because of the amount of care, support and attention these children need, the cost of caring for a single child is approximately $900 per year. This higher cost makes locating additional donors more difficult. We are seeking donors for up to 100 additional children.
Village of Hope is seeking a corporate/foundation sponsor for the HRCC and help achieve this goal. An annual commitment of only $22,500 would allow VOH to establish a fund that would be used to match individual sponsors of HRCC children. This would reduce the cost to individual donors by one-half, allowing them to sponsor a single child for only $450 (with the corporate match of $450 equaling the total cost of $900).
This type of matching program would provide our corporate sponsor with the recognition of being the HRCC sponsor while supporting Village of Hope in accepting 50 children into the HRCC.

Health Clinic
This is one of the very key services Village of Hope provides. The clinic is open a limited number of hours per week. A corporate sponsorship/grant of only $24,000 per year will allow us to double the current operations of the clinic and significantly increase our ability to provide life saving comfort medications to those in the village.

Cooperative Dairy
By establishing a small dairy within the Village of Hope compound, we will demonstrate the long term benefit to the village of proper breeding and cattle feed. Our goal is to demonstrate how we can produce 40-50 times the amount of milk from a single cow. One high producing American milk cow in Ethiopia will provide more protein each year to the people of Ethiopia than slaughtering and eating 1,000 steers!
In order to get this sample program up and established we need $8,000 as a one-time donation. These funds would pay for us getting the program up and running on a demonstration basis.
Additionally we are seeking an annual commitment for 3-5 years in the amount of $5,000. These funds would be used to set up a program where local farmers could apply for and receive seeds for cattle feed and bull semen at half the cost as well as subsidize the purchase of some cattle. By having a corporate sponsor subsidize this program, it will allow a greater number of farmers to participate in the program and financially commit them to the program.

Dagoo Harawaa Program
The Dagoo Harawaa program is designed to help educate children, while benefiting the entire family and the community at large. This program has a corporate sponsor; Foresight Management Services which has established a matching fund program that provides funding for 100 families to benefit from this program each year. The program has been widely successful in the village and we have thousands of additional families that would like participate.
We are seeking a second corporate sponsor for this program. An annual commitment of only $15,000 would provide funding for the program to double in size from the current 100 to 200 families.
